Hey everyone. I wanted to let everyone know that this year we will be utilizing event badges to show who is attending the frag swap and who is a normal guest of the aquarium. Event badges will be given to all adults that are attending the show and a sticker will be put on your badge showing that you are a charter member that has a valid paid membership to the club. Being a member is free but we have been actively, over the course of the last couple of years, advocating for folks to help the club out by becoming a charter member and paying the annual fee of now $30.

To help entice folks to become charter members, as usual, we will be allowing charter members that are current, a full 30 mins early into the frag swap to shop around and get first dibs on any awesome and cool corals that our vendors have brought with them. Membership has its perks and I highly encourage anyone that is not a charter member to charter up prior to the event so that we can provide you with a sticker and access to all of the benefits that come with being a charter member which include:

30 mins early access to the frag swap
(1) Charter member ticket good for any of the charter member prizes
Discounts at several of our sponsor sites and shops
Ability to take part in meeting giveaways
Help fund the various activities held by the BOD to benefit the MAAST membership


Prior to the early access, we will be inspecting all event badges for the charter member sticker to ensure that charters are the first to enter in the event. Be sure to not lose your badge and keep the sticker highly visible when we start to let folks in for the early access. After the 30 mins has expired, the event will be open to all admission folks.

Just make sure that you're badge is visible to ensure that you are attending the event and not just to see the aquarium. Keep in my mind that folks attending the frag swap will also be allowed to see and experience exhibits at the aquarium.
