microbubbles for the next 24 hours
i have no patience whatsoever and instead of waiting until i have everything needed to properly set up this skimmer, i went ahead and set it up now. i now have microbubbles and will continue to have bubbles until tomorrow. ive read a few things about the dangers of microbubbles, but i should be okay until tomorrow right?

Depends if they are hitting your coral or just staying in the water column. If attaching to your coral I'd be a little concerned.

i was actually able to solve the problem by placing a filter sock over the return from the skimmer. the micro bubbles are no more.

You should be fine. You could also always break in the skimmer in a vinegar / ro mix to expedite the process.

i ran it last night in about 3 gallons of water and a cup of vinegar.
the sock did stop the bubbles though.
tomorrow im still going to buy the T pvc and have one side go into the sump and the other side will go up and be flush with the skimmer cup.
