The consensus was to not open up the seat with only a few months left in the year and start fresh in 2016.

Given how late in the year it was, with elections right around the corner and a lot of projects that are going on, it was decided that Kevin would be appointed interim vice president in the same fashion I was appointed interim VP during the January emergency meeting. Having an election in mid September-October with the elections in November would be a moot point.
