I saw this video today from Thomas Brown's Youtube channel where he is talking with his Atlanta Reef Club President and I wanted to share it. He is absolutely positive that you can have a successful reef tank without joining a club but the side benefits as well as meeting local fellow reefers to ask questions and..lets be honest brag about our tanks; you will not get unless you find a group of like minded individuals to share it with. I for one used to lurk on the site before creating my own profile and sharing my tank and thoughts on the forum. I will tell you that for me, being part of this group and seeing, speaking and meeting fellow reefers, really adds to the overall hobby.
