    Got the stand welded up. Grinding down the welds then finishing it off.

    Did I mention Acrylic?

    Can I suggest adding feet to your stand. That way the entire metal stand is not sitting on the ground. Sure would make a difference when those "oops" moments happen and water goes to the floor. You will not be able to get all the water out from underneath the metal touching the floor.

    I welded metal feet on the bottom of mine, raising the base up about 4"s. So I have only six feet resting on the ground. I painted the stand with por15 and the had it under coated. The only part that has any rust after 5 years is the parts that actually touch the floor.

    I had thought about it but it's too late. All top and bottom corners are mitered so adding feet would be a little hard. I dont know if I'd trust adding tabs on the inner corners to mount feet. I'll just had a wet tray lined with water resistant vinyl to help contain any water.
