Thread: Mounting probes

    Default Mounting probes

Best practice for mounting pH and temp probes? Maybe even an ORP probe. I'm going to use magnetic probe holders. Should they be in the the display or sump? High flow or low flow? Okay if the wire gets submerged?

I would choose sump John. I don't care for equipment in the display. If it helps, I plan on adding mine to my sump where my pump sits. They will be checking the water right before it heads to the display.

That's where I plan to put mine too. In the past I had them in my overflow. Now I'm trying to move as much as I can down to the stand and sump.

Same here, I use my sump for all probes and heaters. I like a minimal look up top in my display.

I keep my pH probe in the sump. The temp sensor is in the overflow. I don't run much volume through the sump and have checked the sump and DT. They're about .7 degrees different.
