Default NAC 9 skimmer over flowing

    OKay,
I have Bubble-magus NAC 9, Its been working fine for a while now. I pulled it out and cleaned it seemed to work okay. Then 1 day I heard rattling of the lid on collection cup, looked in and cup was completely full. So I figured protein skimmer was too deep in sump so I elevated it. To my disappointment it filled back up with mostly water.
skimmer is set on highest skimming level.
also the intake where water comes through is clean.

Does anybody know what might be the problem?

Do add additives or feed a certain food that might trigger this? I know if I use a certain food or use aminos mine will over flow also so I just turn it off for a couple hrs.

Pure water in reaction chamber or is it still bubbling fine? I've had airline tubes get clogged and cause overflowing.

Yeah, check for calcium buildup or some kind of blockage in the air intake valve or tubing.

adjust the white tube, it has the numbers on it and keep the sw level to 10in and adjust until the bubbles are where you want it gl

Im sure you probably tried this.

The skimmer is producing bubbles like there is no tomorrow. Its set to skim real stingy. The only thing i can think that might be affecting it is the .5 mm food that I feed. I normally would turn off the return pumps. But recently Ive left them on. I going to feed tomorrow without the .5 mm food and see what happens.

    I appreciate everyones input.

Well figured out what the problem was, when I cleaned it I installed the adjusting pipe at 180 degrees from its original position. Turned it back and all is working well, no problem with any type of food.

Again thanks for all the input I really do appreciate it.

Glad you figured it out easily enough.

I too have done some thing similar and it will drive you crazy until you figure it out.
