I buy wherever I find what it is I am looking for. No such thing as a lfs where I live, but I do try to patronize several stores in the dfw area and San Antonio when I get the chance. That being said, online vs lfs have pros and cons. I recently saw a sign at a lfs berating its customers if they had shopped online, and trying to claim that's what was putting stores out of business. And some of that may hold water, but not totally. I've been in way too many lfs that are FILTHY, with dead fish in the tanks, fish with obvious diseases on display, tanks infested with aiptasia, tanks that are so dirty and nasty that it makes your skin crawl...........why would I want to buy from a place like that? And, there are plenty of them like that. The stores I shop at are clean, the livestock looks healthy, and the employees are friendly. And the online stores I frequent are customer oriented with good support, and nice livestock. Being able to see the livestock is nice, but so is being able to get what I want when I want it is also nice. It's a trade off.
