I have a headband LED light and they rock. The one I've had as red LEDs so I've used it for night viewing. I actually bought it for that. However, I use it more for everything else. I just used it tonight to fix something minor on the wife's car. Being a night person, I even used it while finishing some yard work after dark (my neighbors must think I'm insane). One more example, I used it while collecting on the jetty at Port A at night. If you don't mind looking like a total dork (I already do normally), these things are invaluable. I paid around $20 for mine so $3 is a good deal, even if it only lasts a year.
