Default I think I'm going to change it up

I've been doing some considering over the last few weeks. I'm seriously thinking about getting rid of all but a select few of my chalices. I'm tired of the prima donna act, and I want my sandbed back. I will keep probably the Goldmeister, molten lava, Teebs and a neon blood red that I have. I really want the room for zoas, and more "wavy" lps, like torches and frogspawns, and "poofy" lps like acans/blastos. I like the movement the torches and such have, and I love all the colors of the zoas and palys. The chalices, meh, not so much. I've got some with pretty nice colors, but I'm just not enamored with them.

What do ya'll think? Should I stay where I am, or move off in a different direction? I know it sure would be easier to keep my tanks with zoas and torches/frogspawn/hammers. They never give me headaches, the chalices are always either mad about location, or trying to sting their neighbor(s). Or both.

    Im in the same boat....

I was in awe of chalices for a little while and I think its ran its course....

they have some nice colors but are pretty boring and I hate that my goby covers them in sand......

That's exactly how I feel Tony. I will keep a very few of the extreme high end ones, but the rest are just.........Meh.

i dont have big ole ugly on the sand bed i have him bout mid tank same as my war coral if u feel that you want to part with a select few to free up some space or u could try adding them into the rock work unless of course they are to big but then u can frag them and start over and hook people up with nice chalice frags ~thats My 2 Cents~

No stix in my tank, can't stand em. Might as well go out in my yard and pick up some tree limbs and put in the tank, I would enjoy them just as much as I would stix. Sorry, I just do.not.like sps.

I don't want to deal with the chalices anymore. They bore me I like things with movement and bright colors, zoas and other lps fit the bill. At least that is the way I am leaning. And I won't be able to have them in my next two tanks (90g column and 210g) due to some mighty big wrasses that like to tip over things that look like chalices. I'm already dealing with that in my 72. And I like my wrasses way more than I do the chalices. The huge Christmas and the Red Coris can flip over anything if they set their mind to it.
