Spectacular USPS fail, again. It amazes me, the USPS is hemorrhaging money at a spectacular rate, but still sends my package from Florida to Lubbock before sending it back to Abilene. Lubbock is six hours north of me, and the highway to get there runs RIGHT THROUGH Abilene. And they confirm that the truck would have driven right by Abilene on the way to Lubbock. Smaaarrrrrtttt..........Not. Oh yeah, and lets not forget the three day transit time that is now working on five days. For priority mail. From Florida. I could have sent it regular mail, for a lot less money, and had it arrive in the same time frame. Or I could have just used UPS. Which I will from here on out.

And the post office wonders why people are abandoning them in droves. It's because people are tired of subpar service for a premium price.

I have something like that. They are in the process of closing the Marion post office, so Cibolo delivers my mail now. Cibolo is also closer to me than Marion. But if I get a package and it is too large for my mail box they deliver it to Marion and tell me I can pick it up there?

ive never had any issues with any carriers other than ups always being the latest(6pm), fed ex is always at 10-10:30am..

Have u guys ever had this happen to u?
i ordered some clothes off line and it was sent ups. Well on the delivery date I check the status and it says, package has been dropped off at ur local post office in San Marcos.....I live in seguin, than it takes 3 more days to get here from San Marcos, than a lady knocks at my Door and ask If I'm Daniel. Turns out USPS has just been dropping off packages at this ladies house and she has to deliver them. 3rd time this has happened.

Daniel, you are not alone. I've had plenty of times where I had to go chase down one of my packages from USPS. It gets really old.

In my neighborhood there are a lot of Springs. Spring Tree Bend, Spring Tree Bluff, Spring Willow, Spring Fawn, and so on. I always have people knocking on my door to give me stuff that was misdelivered and I do the same.

Oh, I could tell you a story about the USPS... I can't, because I don't want to divulge too much. Suffice it to say my mail carrier was subsequently fired. All one shipment, and I think the post office worker on the shipping end was fired too, for a completely different reason.
