A clown jumped? Must have been the male. Female must have been driving him nuts. Poor guy. Sorry to hear about that. I had my male GSM clown die and trying to pair a new male up with the female was hard. But if you get a clear container and but the new clown in the clear container in the tank so the other clown can see him and get use to him. That will greatly better you chances. As well as moving rock around during this time if you can. What kind of clown?

Thats exactly what i thought whne i got home i looked and looked and finally he was on the ground so it kind of surprised me. It was a Ocellaris clown, hm so i think i may do that because i dont want to get another pair i just need one lol

An Ocellaris should bepretty easy to pair. Still better to be safe and try the clear container method. The one in the tank may go ape **** for a while trying to get at the other one. But that will blow over. If it even happens at all. Ocellaris are a lot more tame than GSMs. Mine almost beat herself stupid from trying to get the new clown. But now they are laying eggs together. So they are as happy as can be.

Try to get one much smaller than your surving female. That way it is likely go stay a male.

Yes. Definitely smaller. Not a baby though ha ha. But it should be smaller than the one in the tank. My GSM took 4 or 5 days. One day i got home from work and instead of the female attacking the glass she was swimming next to the container nearest the new clown. I let him go and they swam down to the nem together. So just look for non aggressive behavior and then let him go. Be ready with a net. It could be a ruse ha ha.
