Yeah, it's out being cleaned and restrung. They guy told them if it plays really well, it might fetch up to $75-100K.
They are planning on putting it into a Christie's musical instrument auction.
What is REALLY funny, is that it was just bouncing around in the back seat of the truck when they arrived, and when they left, they went under armed guard. They immediately went shopping for a case! Then, they had planned on going out to dinner in CC that night, and couldn't because they didn't want to leave the violin. They slept with it in their bed at the hotel.
