Is that with the ver4 or the new ver5? I need a new phooone![]()
happy reefing
Lets ride
It's the 4s. I'm still not sure I care for the styling of the 5. It has considerably faster Internet though.

That pic has my vote for POTM ! but no the head with the brown spots on it is not putting out its tentacles to feed. As far as the head on the left side I have had no problems feeding it..
P.S. Ive got one of the iphone 5's and love it !

I've seen that type of browning before on LPS. Normally it's because much of the water has been expelled from the head of the LPS due to some aggravation from other tank species or just not happy. If nothing is done to correct this normally the exoskeleton will start to come through the injured part and be exposed and soon die. I would suggest doing one of two things, one is move entire piece to new location. Other would be break off the injured branch and place somewhere else relative to water column that it's currently in. Just by the look of the pic, it could be direct water flow passing directly into that head not sure, can't tell too much from the pic.
The water flow is moving from left to right (relative to the picture) so there is no direct flow going straight into the head. They used to be up on the top level of my rock work and flow was quite heavy there. Since then I have moved them down to the bottom level of the tank where the flow is moderate. Since I have placed them lower in the tank the exoskeleton has started to disappear more but it has its good days and bad days.. Should I try moving them to an even lighter flow area? Or are there any dips that may help nurse it back to health?

I don't know why you bought it either. Maybe you should give it to me, I'll show it some love, and not neglect it ;)
As far as the cane goes. I would move it further down, and into a lot less (like almost none) flow. It will probably heal if its just given the chance.
