    Default Refugium/ algae

I am setting up my 10 gal refugium that I built next week I am planning on having a skimmer heater in the first chamber and Algae/live sand/pods in the middle and the return in the last chamber any thoughts on the way I am going to set it up before the pump gets here Monday. And what type of algae should I buy for it?

make sure your first chamber is a static chamber. meaning water level will not change as water evaporates, your skimmer will perform better. algae is a personal choice some run only one others run a mixture. when your ready put up post that you need some, I may have some and so will others, just see who's closer. I personally run grape culerpa and dragons breath, cheato works fine also.

I prefer to run my heater in the last chamber as well. It seems to work in keeping the tank warmer easier because you aren't losing as much heat energy in the sump prior to the tank.

I have to thin out my chaeto and you are welcome to it.
