Default My 110 Gallon "Semi-built-in" Tank

I thought I'd start a tread of my new 110 Gallon tank. I'll update it every couple months to track coral growth and overall tank progress. The tank itself is a DSA 110 (60" x 20" x 21"). The tank is sitting on Cardell bathroom Vanity cabinets to match out kitchen. I beefed them up to support the weigh of a 1200 pound aquarium. I also ordered an extra quart of stain, the countertop, canopy, bench and trim pieces I made to match.

I love the bench because Me, my wife and daughter can all sit and look at the tank.

All the corals are frags now so time to play the waiting game for them to grow out.

    Thanks for viewing

Thanks, I've got a LET 6x80 watt T5 Retrofit with 3 ATI Blue Plus, 2 ATI Aquablue Special and a ATI Purple Plus. I may try to squeeze two more bulbs over the tank in the future, that's the nice thing about retrofits!

Skimmer is a Bubble Magus CS180 sitting in a Precision Marine 30" refugium and a "can't remember the brand" 700ish gph return pump. There's 2 Hydor 1400gph powerheads which wasn't enough flow so I added 2 Tunze 6025.

Between the display and the sump there's only 90 pounds of live rock but I wanted to leave room for fish to swim and corals to grow. Fish wise I've got a yellow tang, powder brown tang, 2 O. Clown fish and 2 blue damsels.....The demsels were used to start the biological in my QT tank and they may eventually come out. I've also got a McCosker's Flasher Wrasse in the QT tank and trying to find 3 Lyretail Anthias.

I like those 6x80 watt T5 Retrofits. Little footprint and a lot of light. Very Nice setup.

This the good part. Nice to have things to share with the family.

Looks like you have a good start.
