    Default ATO Problems

Guys I hooked up my JBJ ATO today along with my Toms Aqua lifter.

    My problem ..

The Sensor and pump lights on the JBJ come on and it starts pumping water into the sump as it should and after a short period of time it stops pumping the water although it has not reached the float switches. So the lights on the sensor lights on the JBJ remain on because it has not filled to the float switch. If I flip the power switch on and off the pump with then start pumping again. From my understanding there is a timing switch or something in the JBJ that times out. Is this the problem.

Right now the Reservoir sits to the left of the sump and the Aqua lifter is a few inches above it and the sump. From what i have scene this is the optimal setup.

I may take the Aqualifter back and replace it with a small MJ or something if I can not figure it out...

I am thinking its not filling fast enough and its timing out... For now I have it running in Mode A and its at the appropriate water level. Lets see if I continue have the problem now that it should only have to topoff a very small amount of water as the level drops versus a entire gallon which would take the Toms lifter a good while.

You're right ray. The aqualifter is taking too long to refill the lost water. I have an old mj 800 on my ATO with no probs what so ever.

I just installed a JBJ ATO on the waterfall tank last night and used a MJ1200.

I'm also using a small powerhead for my ATO, but it's not the JBJ.

I use an aqualifter on mine, but I turned up the timer on the JBJ. If you flip the JBJ over, and take out the couple of screws to take it apart, you can easily find the timer and rotate it higher.
