MAAST running slow - BOD need to look into anything?

It's starting to get a little annoying. The site has been running so slow over the last 6 months to the point that sometimes I just click a forum or link...go check ARC or RC and hope it's open by the time I come back.

I have seen zero issues on ARC and little to no issues on RC (granted they disabled their search capabilities awhile back for similar issues but we are NO where near the kind of traffic they get).

We have grown though and perhaps it's time for the BOD to look into other options...? Doesn't seem like our current plan is enough to support the traffic and content on the site.

I have no server/plan suggestion other than please just look into it. Brian is a guru and there are lots of tech gurus on here that I'm sure can assist in finding the right solution for MAAST.

Might be from the constant barrage of Botnets and spamware. It has been hitting ridiculous levels lately.

Time for a new host. I don't know if anyone here is affiliated with Cartama (being a local hosting company) and I don't know if Cartama hosts their own servers or is just a reseller. There are several options out there, but I agree, something needs to be done.

I can help out if any assistance is needed...this is kind of my specialty.

Dude, I lurk on this site for 75% of the day. I have "issues" I am told by my better half. Like Rob, I switch over to other forums when this site is slow.
