    Default Floors are done!

Anyone who owns a house and has been thinking of acid staining your floors, do it! You will not be disappointed. We hired Precision Floors N Doors out of Austin and we are happy campers. Started Monday and he applied the final coat of wax today, Finished. They look awesome. We did every last sq ft down stairs and wow does it make a huge difference. All I need to do is put on new base boards and repaint a few walls. Then I can really get started on the tank...

Thanks guys, we are happy campers. Hope to get the base boards on this weekend and maybe some paint on the walls. Im not the best a measuring correctly, haha. Hopefully I do not have to many mis-cuts.

haha, I'm plain crazy on measuring...should have seen my first and last reef pvc plumbing job with couplings every 2 inches from foul measuring! My wife just kept shaking her head. lol

Its pretty popular now, ive known about it for years from watching HGTV etc. Before it was seen more in commercial properties, but if your house has a concrete slab why not. Ads a bit of a modern but classic touch.

They are easy to maintain, The acid itself has a chemical reaction to the concrete so its there to stay. Then it gets a few coats of sealant and a couple of coats of wax for protection. The wax will wear and you will have to recoat eventually.

They are not for everyone, you must be ok with imperfections. You are dealing with concrete which may have chips, cracks, spots on it from construction. Who ever does the work with clean and prep as well as they can but the imperfections will be there. Ads character. Just like a piece of natural stone.
