If you want to remove algae from your tank, you might want to build a ATS.
    Here's the instruction. http://www.maast.org/showthread.php?...ighlight=algae

I'm still planning to get one of those UAS you guys sell. I want to try it out in my sump. Will it out-compete other macro like chaeto?

    Yes, it will.

If your UAS works fine, it'll out grow chaeto.

I have kole that is very well behaved and is an algae munching machine. The turbos will finish up the job. You have gfo?

    I don't run gfo...

I've got to check and see if I've still got a problem with this. Seems as if I have more of it in the little tank than the big one.

if you can do a peroxide dip with that rock it will wipe it out quick, even sps can survive a dip. 7-1 ration of saltwater and peroxide. when i do it that algae goes bright red then dies off.

Yeah, that's probably not an option.

It's not widespread, and really only something I noted in the last tank.
