Default SCUBA diving in San Fransisco??

So, I'm going to be in San Fransisco for the first time in a couple of weeks. I would love to get a dive in while I'm there. Anyone know/have experience with anyone doing dives there? I will be going without any other divers, so I need some shop/group dive.
    TIA for any help!

you could always do this. You will be in prime great white country... I was in Sand Diego kayaking a couple of weeks ago and out tour guide told us they had a siting a few weeks before we had arrived.

If you want great whites go to tamales bay. It's a great white research facility. Ha ha. I haven't dived SF. But monterey isn't too far away and they have awesome kelp gardens and sea life. I know they have dive tours there.

Koa25 is correct, Santa Cruz is your best best. Lots of Dive tours in that area , also Point Reyes which is not to far from Santa Cruz. Also just so you know August, September, and October is White Shark Season in that area.

Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.

Unfortunately I'm pretty much stuck in SF. I would rather not rent a car just to drive somewhere for a dive. I was kinda hoping for something local I could cab/bus to the shop.
    Well, there's always other trips...lol
