    Bright lighting = little to no coralline.

    I've got 2x400 and very little coralline. Even on tanks with less, but not much less, no coralline.
    200g-No Corals Yet!

    From my experience PCs always grew coralline algae the quickest. I could not seem to keep it from growing in my biocubes. Tanks with Metal Halides seem to have the most trouble growing it unless you are supplementing with PC, T5s etc. I think 400watts over a 40b is way to much light and the root of your problem. Generates to much light for the ft print, excessive heat and I would think your water evaporates fast.

    ya a 400 over a 40b may seem like a big light but..if the water aint going over 80..an its 2 feet above water..how bad can it be..lol
    ill let yall know how it turns out..an thanks for all the info..
    oo an just to say..i add 1gallon every 2 days..so the evaporation is not to bad..
