    Default Tank cloudy black?

Well this morning I woke upand checkedoutmy 55 that's cyclying and noticed it was very cloudy but it was black I just put a filter sock of chemi pure in the sump. Would this be causing the problem and what would I do to fix it?

did you rinse the bag of chemi pure? needs to rinsed off before use, and when you rinse dont squish it just gently run water through or dunk in bucket of water, ro/di water is best

How long has it been cycling?

At first I thought the same thing, that the chemipure wasn't rinsed... or carbon if you're running that. You using white sand I assume? Did you use new sand? When rinsing some old sand I noticed that there's a lot of 'dark' to it.

Did you get it figured out? Like they already said, the chemipure needs a LOT of rinsing to start with, and the water coming off when rinsing is BLACK!
    That's my best guess
