do you mean flush the pre filters, I just run mine without RO membrane for 5 min then run with RO membrane and watch the TDS drop. when it stops dropping I run it with DI. I have valves to by pass stuff

A quick trip to home depot, a pair of scissors, and you'll be cookin' with crisco.

I'm a little confused. Are you talking about flushing prefilters (sediment and carbon), or a new DI resin cartridge?

I swapped all the filters. Except the membrane, that was done last time.

There are lots of ways to fluch cartridges, but the idea is that you don't want the "flush water," that is, the water flowing away from the cartridge you're flushing to go into another filter - you want it to go down the drain.

So one way to do this on a 4 stage system where you are replacing everything other than the membrane:
    1. Remove all the old filters, including the membrane. Keep the membrane wet.
    2. Sanitize the system if its been over 6 months since you sanitized last.
    3. Install the new sediment filter and new carbon block.
    4. Turn the feedwater on and let the product and waste water go to drain for 10 minutes.
    5. Reinstall the RO membrane
    6. Install the New DI filter.
    7. Turn the feedwater on and let the product and waste water go to drain for 10 minutes.
