Thread: Frag rack build

    The rack is in the tank but I feel is a little high. what do you guys think? frags will sit around 5 inches under water, under a 400w radium MH hanging around 18'' above water

    Try it out like that and see how it works for the corals. You can always make adjustments, better to lower it later than figure out it's not high enough and have to get new legs.

    nice, I'd lower the legs, put a little more water between them and a blazing 400w MH.

    Yeah I think I'm going to lower the legs, but later on because It's gonna be too much trouble to cut them again. Let's see how corals like this intense light. Thanks to everyone

    Thanks for this thread, i have been trying to think of ways to build a frag rack pyramid that i need and using pvc never crossed my mind.

    Have you had any problems with your rack floating?

    hey man, how about a few more shots of your frag tank. That looks very nice. Is that the tank that was at ADs about a year ago?

    Not so far, it feels pretty stable. I think the only way it could float is if you seal the pvc legs from the top and bottom.

    I got it fro Giau a few months ago, I have some pics in photobucket. Let me find them
