Any ez way to remove old silicone from a 75 sump and baffle ends?
Any ez way to remove old silicone from a 75 sump and baffle ends?
Im gonna rearrange some baffles. Any idears lmk

Removing silicone can be tedious if you hold a razor with your hand and scrape down and then try to scrape off and clean.
There has to be an easier way. Especially if you want a smooth surface.
Also if you remove the baffle it has the old silicone on the edges. Using a razor blade to make a smooth surface wont work.

A fresh razor is about the only way I would attempt it. There are chemicals, such as MEK (methyl ethyl ketone) that will take it off, but I wouldn't want it anywhere near an aquarium.

Food grade acetone or alcohol and an extremely good clean with vinegar all I can think of
