Default exquisite wrasse with needle in eye

I woke up to find my exquisite wrasse with 2 spine looking things in his eye. They almost look like bristle worm spines. Should I try to catch him and fresh water dip him so he won't move around and remove them with tweezers or should I just let his body remove them naturally ?

I don't think that's bristle worm spines, too big. I say remove them, but how you do that without breaking them off in the catching process is the hard part.
