    Default How can this be???

My new frag tank is 24" across. My arms are longer than 24", so why can I not reach the things at the back of the tank without dunking certain body parts? For some reason, this seems to defy all logic. Arms are longer than tank is from front to back, except.......they're not. Something doesn't seem quite right here

Water refracts light...and um, your PAR is higher near the surface...so uh. Yeah! Understand?

    Across the top?

Or in the back near the middle to bottom of the tank? I know it can't be that simple, but 24" across and 24" deep is like 30" diagonally to the opposite corner.

I have the same problem, 36" across the top, but there are things I can't reach unless I dunk the shoulder, neck, and chin into the water.

Allan, my frag tank is 16" deep. By all rights I should be able to reach stuff, but it turns into a wet t-shirt contest every time. I'm not sure how it works, but I swear the tank gets deeper as soon as I stick my arm in it.

    Richard, love the explanation!

Girl, if sumo style still requires a change of clothes you may need to consider fragging in the bath tub...
