Im looking to buy an inexpensive LED set for a 210. I looked at the spec on the AI SOL LED module for $399 and it uses a 6500k LED. not good.
What affordable LED system would work to grow coral for a 210 depth without breaking the bank?
Thanks

The more I read I realize that it can be adjusted from 6500k to 20000k with the controller.

I LOVE my AI SOL Blue (personally I don't keep it in the blue range but you can get it very very blue if you like)

Unless you build it yourself, you are looking at $2,000+ for LED on a 210. The AI Sol at $400 is probably the best buy right now. What you could do is buy three to start and as you add additional coral to your tank add more Sols to cover these.
It only takes 3 400watt retrofit de hqi for $640 plus shipping so maybe $700. Replacement Bulbs are only $70 per year for total $210.
Why do you need 6 AI SOL? I was gonna start with 1 in the center and then eventually get 1 on each side.
Can you work with 3 AI SOL or can you add 2 t5 80watt on both side of the leds or will you still have a lot of dark areas?
1 more ques. Seems to be different controllers. Which one is best?

I love the controller that comes with it.
I have 5 modules over my 215g tank and that works well for me

I have been pleased with the controller that came with my AIs. It does everything that a controller for lights needs to do.
I have 2 modules over my 120 with a footprint of 4' X 2'. I had correspondence with AI prior to purchasing to double check their claims on the website. If you have the lights at a minimum of 13" above water line then you will be lighting a 2' X 2' area.

Thats good info John^
I was kind of wondering what spread they had. Saved me from googling.
