Any members who do laptop repair?

By any chance is there a MAASTard our there who does laptop repairs? My Compaq laptop went fzzzzt. It's overheating and now the screen has gone nutso too. I suspect it might take more to fix it than what its worth, but I won't know till I try. And since we are already talking about it, any chance one of yous out there have a laptop for sale? I have just about had it with the Compaq.

OTOH, I just lurves my new Acer Netbook.

Help out a fellow MAAST member.....if you know of a good computer repair person, point me to them. Or if you know of someone who has a laptop that needs a new home, point them to me. I do need something with at least a 15" screen, the netbook is great for most stuff, but word processing makes my eyes cross on this small screen.

Help? Please? I'll give ya a shroom, or something (I know, you would rather have the something, rather than the shroom, LOL).

my acer notepads screen went blank after minimum use with it kind of disappointed with it who knows it make just be something lose but haven't even played with it

It's dead.

The smoke got out of the board. At least I can salvage the drive and recover my information.

I hate it when the smoke gets out of electronics.
