    Default Temporary holding vessel

Folks, would it be alright if I were to use a new, washed, soap- and oil-free everyday storage tote to house my aquarium's contents for a couple of days? I am moving my tank and will need to empty it of most all of the water to do so. What better time to go ahead and completely clean it up then now? I'll hook up a powerhead for circulation, and set the canopy on top of the bin for lights. No need to worry about melting the tote.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks

I have done that to house corals. I haven't ever done it with fish though. I don't see why it would matter, but other people may have different opinions.

I would think it should be fine. If it's just a couple of days you may not even have to worry about light (in case the canopy is heavy or you don't have a good way to secure it)

No problem... the NSF rated ones for sure... but any clean plastic should do for a short time

Great, guys. Thanks. I've got water circulating and heating in one right now.
