I'm game... Nice huge reef tank to look at, and several small accent tanks around for fun. Not sure how the customers would like us messing with the tanks, then getting them a straw for their drink..... Forget the customers!!! This is our dream![]()
The time I enjoyed the most was the old days at the DOT in Utah. My mom was the Secretary for the Transportation Commission at the time, so I got to stop in and chat with her any time of the day, and my sis worked in the cafeteria. Everyone I worked with depended on me to make their job easier, and I was good at doing that. They also went out of their way to mentor me. I could always count on them, and they could count on me. We were a team.
Home of the baby picasso!
I am currently a bartender, and have been in the business for just shy of 15 years now. I've got so many stories about things I've seen and done that I could probably write a book. It really is a lot of fun, especially if you're good at it. You can easily make up to $2,000 a week or more (cash) if you're in the right place. I plan to get out of the business within a year or so and will probably end up with a job doing outside sales for an oil & gas company. My oldest daughter will start kindergarten next year and I want to have a regular day job by that time. As much fun as it is, and even though I will actually take a relatively large pay cut starting out, I don't want my daughter to go to school and be embarassed because Daddy is a bartender.
My first best job was helping run the family business a 65 ft dive charter boat. Yes it was terrible 20 yrs old every weekend on a boat full of beautiful women from all over the 5 state area TX/LA/OK/ARK/NM. Diving Stetson Bank, Flower Gardens, V.A. Fogg (Shipwreck), Church Steeples, and some fantastic offshore platforms.
Now I am in my second best job. For the last 17 yrs I have helped to protect and understand the saltwater Flora and Fauna of the great state of Texas as the captain of a research vessel for Texas Parks and Wildlife (Coastal Fisheries Div.)
What do I do in my spare time? Tournament fish and play with corals.
Para what a rough life you have... lol

The job I’m at now is the most rewarding. There are jobs that provide more benefits, or more reasonable hours… but at the end of the day I know I was productive and did something that made me happy.
Working retail isn’t glamorous, but a huge percent of our population does it. I work with some of the coolest people I’ve ever met; we have fun and are still able to take our roles seriously. Every single day brings a new tale to tell, this is no boring cubicle job.
Sometimes I wonder if I made the right choice in life. Wrinkle resistant uniform, or dry cleaning with high heels? To each her own, but heels aren’t my thing.![]()
Um... to be honest, it creeps me out. It has creepy little human hands! When it reached for my face I freaked out a little, and then it wouldn't let go of me! I had to have a coworker rescue me. As I'm yelling "Get it off me!" they're laughing. I'll try to get over it, the thing needs attention and love. But man, it's weird.
I want to be a Kinkajou holder![]()
