    Default Fish Kids

My oldest turned 5 this summer. And he's now old enough to try and gently manipulate me into stuff. I was working today and didn't want to play with him. But instead of whining he quickly changed subject and said: "Wow mom. Your isochrysis really seems to have grown a lot!"
Well yes, I was just thinking the same thing!!! So of course I went and helped him with his game. I was impressed though. I foresee great things for him.

My favorite is still though when he was 3 or 4 and we brought home kittens to foster from the cat rescue. And with the kids and a box full of kittens in the car, he asked on the way home: "So mom, how are we going to acclimate these kittens?" (because clearly anything we have ever dragged home during his lifetime had to be acclimated somehow lol)

If he wants to make you mad he could tell you he prefers mh lighting over led. Karin you have got to be the coolest mom ever!

LOL. I think that's the thing I was so impressed with. He totally gets the good parts!
My husband on the other hand only mentions stuff like: 'hey, doesn't your mandarin look kind of skinny?' 'what is that red stuff on the sand? is that xyz thing still working?-it's making a funny sound!' 'what are these little spots?' 'how come your jawfish is always eating his eggs?' (all stuff I am already painfully aware of)
