glass hermit crab shell

a sculptor made a shell out of glass and let a hermit crab have it for a home for an art display. kinda cool looking, and apparently you can by the glass shells online

Wow, that's pretty cool. I wish they'd gotten a close up on the tail end of the critter. It's neat how they have a gross little shrimp tail and hold onto the heavy shell with itty bitty toes.

I'm surprised he took to the shell, though. They do see in color (except for red) so I'd think he would want more camo than that. Although, if his options were classy clear glass, or silly batman shell with googly eyes glued on, maybe he made the right choice.

I found these for sale online. They're about $15 each though. Seems a little steep considering there's no guarantee a hermit would even want it. They have different sizes though so it is tempting!
