    Default Aptasia Gun

I know there is a company selling these Tazers on the market for killing aptasia so I decided to DIY my own. And it works. If anyone is interested please send me a PM for the materials list. I think I spent like 20 bucks to build this thing and I have already removed aptasia with it. very simple but effective and waaaaay less expensive than dosing, nudibranch's, peppermints ect.

It is just electrolisys that kills them and it does not harm the tank. almost like a real life first person shooter LOL

Interesting.... Almost everyone I know is aggravated at the moment by a particularly stubborn strain of these going around.

How long has it been since you zapped them? I'd be curious to see if this is one of those cures that encourages them to spread around or if the dead ones really stay gone. Keep us posted!

That is awesome. I looked into them after the last thread but $80 yikes. Great you were able to make one yourself.

After my poor results with aiptasia-x I am hesitant to try any of the killers for fear it will jsut spread more (they release new babies when they feel threatened)

This thing liquifies them and they just sort of float away dead and all white.

Nah, I like to share. I'll get some footage tomorrow. I think can post video right? I made a thread for my 40 gallon breeder frag tank and no one had commented lol.

Ok so I have found a down fall to the gun. I have noticed the ones I can really get to so not come back but the ones I "think" I got are coming back out. I guess you really have to get them good with it for it to work but we all know how hard that can be sometimes.the gun works, just make sure you get a good bite with it.
