    Default T5 lighting suggestions.

Hi everyone. I'm going to be buying new bulbs for my T5 fixture this week from BRS and was wanting some suggestions from those of you who run T5's regarding bulb type and combinations. It's a 7 bulb retro fit fixture. I'm currently running 2 aquablue 3 blue plus and 2 pinkish colored lights that I don't remember the name of. All bulbs are 54 watts. I'm also running a T12 super actinic light. I also bought 2 LED stunner strips for moon lighting I'm going to be adding soon. I'm not sure if I want to go with the same combination of lighting or something different. What do you guys suggest? I'm wanting to keep soft, LPS and SPS corals.

You opened up a big can of worms. There are all kinds of recommendations for combos. It will boil down to what you prefer.

I like a bluer tank so I run more of the blue spectrum. Such as ATI Blue+. If you already have a super actinic I would say run 1 of the t-5's as another actinic and then concentrate on a mixture of 1 daylight, couple of very blue spectrum, 1 red or pink, and then the final bulbs near the daylight such as aqua blue +. That's just my opinion tough.

Have you surfed RC to see Grim's recommendations yet? He also has his own web page.
