Karin, I had the same impression of Jeremy until that meeting when I realized he wasn't aloof but shy... Uh, I didn't have bro-mance about him though ;)

I really enjoyed learning how to plumb with Jeremy at his old store while he was still setting it up. He was so overwhelmed, no money and no help in the beginning. I told him about MAAST, and the rest is history. I was totally upset that he moved :(

nothing like learning how take down and put up a fish store in a week....lol I went to the local fish store so much I got a best friend out of it, and because of him and his help, I've been very successful at this hobby. another cool thing about going to LFS a lot is you never know who you will meet. some old salties that used to be active on here and some who are so old don't know what forums but all have nice tanks are fun to pick their brains and get some great tips.

You know chris, that's right. I've been everywhere for two years or less at a time. In the two years here I believe I've gotten to know a significant portion of the civilian population, and consider most friends.

    Uh, right?

    Guys?

1982? Polly's had a orange clown trigger and I had to have it. So I went home and threw out everything in my 55 put in crushed coral, salt, new tap water, and used my old under gravel filter with air stones. Went back to Polly's and the trigger was gone so I settled for a clown and anemone. It did not last long my mother went ballistic with salt creep on her walls so I went back to freshwater. I remember the awesome tank at Darby's with the purple tang, great friendly service even though I did not buy a lot from them. But of course still great service today. Texas tropical around 95 bought a 10" blueface angel for $80 the most awesome looking fish I have ever owned. But of course I got bored once again and sold him back. Aquarium Sales and Service was another one, Ken was awesome. Can't leave out the fun and great fish from CB Pets. We still have a bunch of great stores and friends here in SA, NB, UC, Austin, and in Corpus.
