After seeing them at L*MAR I was pretty impressed. I have been tossing around the idea of using some of these to supplement the MHs. Hope he comes back this year.

So it's well worth buying? Is the 20k really blue?
And do they sell them any cheaper then 600$?

I believe the one they had at LMAR was the 2nd gen as it was cheaper but it was fairly blue so I would assume it was the 20k.

TXG8GXP had one that I almost bought. It was the 1G 120w and the color was great. 1 just wasn't quite enough to cover my 36" tank and 2 would have been massive overkill. For a 24" -30" tank, 1 of the smaller ones would be perfect.

I have the same one as Ismael. I have not ran it over a tank yet, so I cannot speak of the long term quality. The 20K is blue - but not a smurfy sky blue, kind of a deep water blue. You will be able to grow what ever you want under them.

Ok so I got a 12k 120w on my 46 bowfront it's 36" long and man
Does this thing light up my tank..looks pretty awesome
