Default Texas Coast Collection: Solid and other CC members

I am heading for the coast, bucket in hand.

I am hoping I can either tag along when Solid is collecting grass shrimp or get some good directions on where to find them.

So grass shrimp are definitely on my list.

What else can I get? Do we have pretty much the same stuff Florida has? Or no?

    What about Chitons?

Right after one of last years hurricanes I found a bunch of zig zag perriwinkles out of the water on grass stalks. It was beside a road and there was alot of oil run off. They didn't make it overnight.

I think I already have Periwinkles. I bought some and now I have gazillions. Unless they're Collonista snails which is of course entirely possible. Do Periwinkles breed in the aquarium?

We only have black mangroves in the Corpus/Port Aransas area. Any where along the back side (bay side) of Mustang/Padre Island, or along the Kenedy Causeway where you find shoal grass (Halodule wrightii) you should find a couple of species of grass shrimp. If you are lucky, you can also get some cool looking virgin nerite snails (Neritina virginea) in the grass beds.
