Hey thanks for sharing that... I was 4 out of 4 on mispronunciations, even in those I've taken the time to ask around and try to learn the correct way to say them!

I bet your numbers were better, with your European roots. Now I need to drop them into casual conversation so I can commit it to memory. "So Karin, how's it going on the sale of your Sicce pumps?"

I was visiting somebody today and he mentioned he was switching to CG pumps and I said: What? What is that?
    Sicce!

I always called them SIKKE. lol

I am just glad so much of the stuff is German - that certainly increases my odds.

In fact I'd disagree with the way they pronounce Giesemann. They are leaving out the 'e'... ;)

When we started carrying that line at Aquatek, I just didn't say it all. I'd just refer to them as "those kick butt German lights". I have a pair of their lights and I still won't use their name for fear of saying it incorrectly.

My big mix-up happened early on when I asked the lfs sales clerk if they had any an-E-mo-nees.

Avoid using big words. Especially German ones.

Anything German or named from that region gets butchered here.

BMW and Volkswagen have been wrong forever.
