    Default Crazy Anemone Story

I have a small anemone. I think it is a type of GBTA but it stays small, even from the persons tank I got it from they always stayed small, like 2" or so. So it looked great last night and both of my GSM clowns were hanging out in it. It looked fine this morning, then when I got back from the MAAST meeting I now have 3. CRAZY!! It split once and one has moved over a inch or so and the original has two feet, so by the morning I should probably have 3 complete little anemones.

sounds like a maxi-mini anemone to me. they stay a lot smaller and can possibly look like a bubble tip. I have seen one that is purple/pink that looks like a bta. but no matter what it is that cool to have an anemone reproduce that much and not be aptasia

Noice! Can you post some pics. I'm interested in what this anemone could be.

It's not a maxi mini I would bet on it. Looks like it might only be two this morning not three. The foot on the first one was on the bottom glass and front glass so it looked like the start of two feet to me. I will post a pic after work tonight.

    Pics, yeah post them up.

Maxi minis can get rather quite a bit larger than that. Maybe you were talking about the similar looking mini carpets? Two maroon clowns hosting it still makes me think its a bta. When a BTA splits into thirds the smaller section usually has a hard time making it. If you or your fish feed them try to discourage this until the mouth has redeveloped. Also the clowns hosting them are going to stress the thirds out quite a bit.

I will add a pic later today once the lights are on. It only spit once. So I have two dwarf bta, thats what i'm going to call them. They both look happy to me.
