How to catch a jawfish
I recently saw somebody posting a trap noting that that kind was perfect for wrasses.
What kind would be perfect for jawfish?

perhaps the same kind...but put it in the sand near it's den...but camo it by putting the bottom part actually in the sand with the trap door up. (so sand would be in the trap as well)
Let us know if you want to borrow the Wet Acrylic Prototype trap.

Is the den someplace you could reach? I have used something like a clear glass jar on top of the den, then wiggled my fingers at the back end of the den to convince them to come out. But you have be quick and I usually collapse the den in the process. Definitely something you don't want to do everyday, but has worked well for me.
Is this to retrieve eggs?

No I am not concerned about the eggs. They are his to keep. Or eat. Or whatever he chooses to do with them.
But I think the little guy that the others don't get along with would be happier away from them. I could even keep him in the seahorse cube.
But I seriously have no idea where hides out. Will have to observe some more...
