My Chevron went two or three years before it would eat sheets of algae and I tried all of them. Just make sure he gets Spirulina soaked foods or spirulina brine shrimp and he/she should be fine.

Pretty sure you've tried this, but soak the algae in water (in the tank or a cup, w/garlic or not) for a few seconds then rub your fingers together with the algae in between to break it in real small pieces. I'd be shocked if they don't eat it. You can then ween them to the clip once they get a taste for it.

Also they sell frozen w/spirulina & marine cuisine w/algae which will help with health and weening them to Nori.

We took a sheet of nori, rubbed some minced garlic on it and left it in a ziplock bag over night. When you take it out, scrape off the garlic before putting the nori in the tank.
