    I just got some info for a very affordable larvae trap on MarineBreeder. Hopefully the guy still sells them. I am getting on his waiting list

    I wonder what he means with air lift? Is that a type of pump?

    air lift- the same principle as the sponge filters. Looks like a cool setup

    +1 air lift- the same principle as the sponge filters. Looks like a cool setup

    creates a gentile flow of water into the trap. The fry are too small to fight it so they just end up in it.

    Yup, more eggs today. Lorraine also sent me a really good article on jawfish breeding.
    My Minnesota guy says his work shop is still too cold for him to whip up more larvae traps so looks like it might be another batch down the drain...
    What month does it thaw out in Minnesota?

    i can build one for you to use. after you are done it can become part of the maast equipment bank.
