    Default Midas Fish Observation

I just had to post this to see if anyone has seen this before. I just witnessed my 5" Midas Blenny come out of his hole in the rock and grab one of my Juvi 1.5" clowns and pull it into its cave. The clown got away and is unharmed but I never expected that to happen.

I have had them all together for months now and I have never seen this before. It wasnt so much like it was trying to take it to eat it. It was more like it was trying to take it back to its cave and make it his pet! lol When the Clown got away it swam off and the Midas just left it alone. There was no aggressiveness or chasing that went on. It just took us by suprise. The midas will normally chase anything away that gets too close to its hole but it has never tried to take something back to its lair...lol Just took us by suprise!

I had a maroon clown that didn't really care for our dragon goby very much. He would grab it in the center of its body and shake it round like a pitbull. Funny as hell! Poor guy.

LOL! I had a very old jawfish for a while and when other smaller fish came around it would come out of its hole and grab the fish by the body and move it away then go back into its hole lol
