    Default Tang question

I have a 90gal tank and would like to add 2 tangs. I would like a yellow tang and a blue tang will they be compatible? I currently, have two green chromis and one clown.

Blue Hippo and Yellow Tang. yes.

I personally would add the hippo tang first to let it get established or add them at the same time. I wouldn't add the yellow and then the hippo though that still shouldn't be a problem because they most likely will not take the other as a threat.

Good choices for comparability as they have different body shapes, assuming you are talking about the blue hippo. I would not recommend the powder blue tang for a 90g, as they are more territorial and some fast swimmers who like their room.

Best bet would be to add them at the same time so that one doesn't have the chance to get too bossy before the other is introduced.

    I win

    lol

oh, and I second what Kristy said on the Powder Blue. I had trouble even in my 120g and 144g half circle...but both were less than 5ft. I will not try another Powder Blue until I have a longer tank.

Rob, you beat me to the punch, but only because I'm on my phone! I agree with Rob and almost wrote this too, that if one is going to be added before the other, then it should be the blue before the yellow.

Yea I agree with Rob. The hippo should be first because they are finicky and you'll do just fine with that Yellow. These guys are Great swimmers and Grazers with awesome color good luck

This go round I bought all of my tangs at the same time again, except this time I bought tiny little tangs. 2 yellows a sailfin and a hippo.
