    Default MICRO BUBBLES

Alrighty everybody, heres the issue MICRO BUBBLES, it seems that sense i set my tank up about 2 weeks ago i have been fighting a micro bubble issue. Heres what i changed from last time i had the tank setup, using RO/DI water FINALLY instead of tap (GOOD THING) and i placed my pwr heads on the back wall instead of the side walls to clean up the tank, and really did an awesome job on my rock work (pICS later) anyhow i notice i have a micro bubble issue now could they go away when i kill the main return pump, My return has a small suction break that of course pushes air since its close to the water line but its never been an issue before and of course i am NOT gonna plug it. so should i just wait it out or kill my return pump for a while to rid the pumps. CURRNETLY no LIVE STOCK...Suggestions?

I moved my powerhead around alos and still no JOY.

Can you add a pvc piece to the intake? I would attach a piece with a 90or 45 elbow on it facing downward. This should get rid of the whirling and air sucking that your pump is doing.

The problem itself could be coming from the sump setup. How is the sump configured, where are the baffels. Where is your skimmer in the sump, are the micro bubbles getting to the return pump from the skimmer. Can be many reasons why you are getting them in the display

How long was it down? It sounds as if the skimmer may need to break in again or you have air coming in through a fitting in the plumbing.

ok the sump is the TIDEPOOL II filter which was setup before with the tank i I have good idea where the extra air is coming from (the suction break hole) on the return since its right at the water level and you can see the water pushing the air in the tank so i plan to use a small peace of pvc or other plastic material to change the direction of the flow and still keep the break
