    Happy Halloween!

There's only two children that live on this block, and no more for another block or two around in every direction.

Yet, we just went through 9lb of candy in under two hours!

When we ran out of candy we had to turn off the lights, haul in the pumpkins, and kill the motion sensor lights to pretend no one was home.

Had to lock the herd in a bedroom, put the cats in another room, and cover the bird cage. It was nuts around here.

I was a little amused that one of the pumpkins had a howling wolf carved on it, with a bunch of dogs going crazy in the house.

    Happy Halloween

Always reminds me of my first Halloween in the US.
My ex didn't give me the basic plot on Halloween so I had no clue. He was gone (military) and I was home alone when people started knocking at my door and I had nothing to give :(
A few weeks later people started knocking again. I thought shoot another one of those candy collection US holidays! Luckily I had a bag of Livesaver peppermints so I just gave them the bag and shut the door on them. Found out later those people were Carol Singers (they never got to the singing part though since I had already given them the breath mints and closed the door)...

MAN, this was our first Halloween in a house. We went bananas! The people at the Spirit store knew me by face. We had a fog machine that blew out over gravestones, a hanging pumpkin man spinning around, a bubble blower blowing fog-filled bubbles out towards the street, a HUGE spider on our front trees that people were taking pictures in front of, foot pad activated skulls and ghosts, and an airblown skull with moving eyes and a jaw. I was standing in the door with our surround sound on full blast beckoning kids to come get candy. Half of them got to the door and were afraid to even grab candy out of the bowl. It was great, and next year we're just going to go bigger! I am an October baby, so I always love halloween. Even one of the Muslim kids that lives a few doors down snuck over to see it all. He said his parents dont let them celebrate Halloween. :( He smiled though, and that made my day.
