    Default The Next Reef Lighting Technology?

    I found this while looking at metal halide lamps for street lights. Very interesting.

    Their are only two problems I see with this:

    Is this even available on the market for the public and how affordable is this light?

    Looks very promising. Only draw back I can see is that the plasma lights seem to be much more yellow than people like since everybody seems to be after the blue. If they get bluer they can gain a market I am sure.
    I'd love to see some pics of the test units over coral
    It's got to be an old post though since another company has already been marketing plasma for awhile now (I think they're called SeaView or SeaVision or something like it)

    Look up dipans build. He uses plasma and leds. Very interesting.

    That cherry corals video is amazing. I cant believe something so small can emit so much light.

    I find it so amazing that that one tic-tac sized light can light a huge aquarium!

    I guess it is very yellow looking, but that is why we have blue supplemental lighting!
