Default Aquarium trade and our natural reefs

Well I have to give a non-biased two sided speech on Wednesday on the topic of if the aquarium trade and its impact on our natural reefs. If anybody has any links or knowledge of this any help is awesome. I know a while back somebody posted about divers and aquarist in Florida replanting corals. Also any info about how our new found understanding of our reefs is helping to prevent their demise would be helpful.

I need help with this please, its easy to find the side that says its a horrible practice now i need to find info to combat that notion.

thanks in advance for any help

Good examples of the two sides would be in those recent articles by Snorkel Bob and then the response from Bob Fenner. Were the original articles in Coral magazine? I can't remember. There was a discussion thread that linked the two articles a month or two ago if you want to search for it.

hmm let's see, theres that guy who said Tangs never last more than two years in an aquarium, which is completely bogus. I think that's the sme guy Kristy posted about. I had a 2 tangs that were at least 6.

You could also show videos of people taking rock for harvest from fiji.
